How to play Dominoes
Start Dominoes by looking at the playing area and its controls. Empty your hand, or hold fewer pips when both players are blocked. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.
Double-six draw dominoes, local two players with shared-screen visible hands.
Notice the feedback
Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention. Make the next step deliberately.
Your goal
Empty your hand, or hold fewer pips when both players are blocked. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. The example below illustrates a decision.
Step by step
- Play a tile matching either open chain end.
- Choose which end to use.
- Draw only when no tile fits.
- Pass only with no legal tile and an empty stock.
Controls
Click or tap a piece and destination; use the turn indicator and legal-move feedback. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Look at the feedback after the action.
A useful example
An open 4 accepts 4–2, leaving 2 open. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Choose a deliberate next step.
Watch out for this
You cannot ignore a legal match to draw. Check the rule before repeating the action. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
