How to play Typing Challenge
Choose a round of Typing Challenge and settle into its rules. Type the line exactly or maximise correct typing within sixty seconds. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.
Sixteen everyday words per round; local practice measurement, not a certified assessment.
A useful comparison
Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Notice the feedback after each input.
Your goal
Type the line exactly or maximise correct typing within sixty seconds. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Check the rules when you are unsure.
Step by step
- Start challenge.
- Type words and spaces as shown.
- Check speed and accuracy feedback.
- Exact completion or the timer ends the round.
Controls
Use a keyboard in the input field. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Check any mode label before starting.
A useful example
WPM uses correctly positioned characters divided by five and elapsed minutes. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Check the stated objective.
Watch out for this
Pasting is not representative typing practice. Check the rule before repeating the action. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
